Travel Style: Hawaii

It doesn’t necessarily get cold in Northern California in the Winter the way the rest of the world thinks of cold. But Winter here does have me yearning for some warmer temperatures at times.

Don’t get me wrong, I love dressing for winter — long coats, gloves, scarves, boots — that’s my jam. But there’s something about being able to walk around in flip flops and swimsuits in December that makes me giddy.

When my best friend asked me earlier this year if I want to support her after she completes the Honolulu Marathon and that it meant a trip to Hawaii, I couldn’t turn that down, could I? (Oh, she also asked if I wanted to run and I went riiigghhhtttt. And meehhh I don’t think my knees and messed up feet can handle that anyways. I’d rather chill by the pool and drink bloody mary’s please).

Which is exactly what I did.

Interior Inspo: Christmas Decor

I absolutely love decorating for Christmas, and decorating for this year brought me no less joy than any other year. In fact, I was so much more excited this year because I decided to update my theme a little bit in the spirit of making my house continuing to feel more like a home. I always decorate on Black Friday so I can avoid Black Friday crowds forever…and this always makes me so much happier than dealing with the chaos.

So this year, I went ALL IN on the whole millennial pink motif.

More like millennial pink mixed with gold and copper accents, along with glass and white textures. I also might have gone overboard on the lights this year. But who doesn’t love a bunch of fairy lights all over your house just because?

It’s been a long time, I shouldn’t have left you…

Without a blog post or any kind of update whatsoever.

Not really sure what happened, but life kind of just took over for the past, oh, eleven months.

The good thing is that I have a big exciting update coming soon. You’ll just have to continue to check back in the next month to see what it is.

In the meantime, here’s some pictures of my quick and easy Halloween costume this year. I love Halloween, and I usually put a lot of thought and time into thinkig my costume through. Unfortunately, I did not plan well and had to come up with a last-minute costume.

I didn’t really have anything in mind except for the fact that I wanted white hair. I’ve had white hair for other costumes in the past, and I wanted to do it again. And what did I come up with? Well, at first I was thinking of playing off the idea of Resting Witch Face, and then as I started to put the costume together, it ended up being more like a Basic Witch, with her pumpkin spiced-latte and all. Super quick and easy.

Anyways, check back soon for the big update! I promise you won’t regret it. I also promise I will try better to keep this thing updated.

This yoga junkie just took on the CorePower Challenge

Yoga has been part of my life for quite a long time now. I’ve joined many different studios, and I’ve been part of many different communities. However, none quite like the community I’ve joined at CorePower Yoga.

For those that don’t know, CorePower Yoga is a yoga studio with many different locations throughout the United States. All classes are heated with different amounts of humidity piped into the rooms. The classes vary in difficulty with one of the classes, Yoga Sculpt, incorporating free weights mixed with yoga positions into the class for a much more challenging workout. Like, kick-your-ass-every-single-time-challenging. Kinda like yoga bootcamp. No joke. Continue reading “This yoga junkie just took on the CorePower Challenge”
